Initiative of the European Regions for the prolongation of EU-regional policy post 2020ff Brussels

EU Regional Policy must remain for all regions after the end of the current EU financial period post 2020.

Together with - for the moment - 337 regions, local authorities and interregional organisations from the whole of  Europe a declaration has been signed. On 28th September 2016, this declaration will be handed over to the representatives of the EU Institutions during a Summit of Regions for the prolongation of EU Regional funding after 2020.  

The Summit will begin with a conference in the Committee of the Regions on the topic "The contribution of EU Regional Policy to managing our future" and the hand-over will take place in the Bavarian Representation in Brussels.
